Garter Yoke Baby Sweater in Rose

I don't know about anyone else, but I seem to knit in batches of things.  For awhile, all I knitted was afghans or baby blankets.  Then, it was socks and more socks.  Then, it was hats.  Baby hats, adult hats, children's hats.  Now, I'm knitting sweaters and lots of sweaters.

Let's face it, baby sweaters are so much fun to knit and so gratifying.Years ago, I purchased a really nice quality yarn from a LYS that has since gone out of business.  I don't even remember what kind of yarn it was or the color.  I think it was called "Rose Petal" or "Dusty Rose".

I used this lovely yarn to knit the garter yoke baby cardi by Jennifer Hoel.  (Free pattern on Raverly.)  I wish I was more talented with the camera, because this really looks so much nicer in real life.  I've been knitting for over 53 years and this is my first time doing an i-Cord bind-off.  (Thank goodness for You Tube videos.)  I like how it turned out.


This little sweater is gift for a friend's first grand baby. This little girl was in a hurry to get here in the world and she made her entrance about 6-wks. early.  She's doing great and she's petite enough that sweater will fit her for awhile.
